About Our Aussies
Five years ago we got our first Austraian Shepherd. I was already sold on their beauty, but her personality, faithfulness, and playfulness sold us on the breed.
Since then we've added four more Aussies to our family. Each one has become a beloved family member with their own unique personalities and quirks.
Hazel loves to sit at the table with us (in a chair!), Mr. Darcy is so gentle and loving, and Daisy loves to be by your side no matter what you are doing.

Australian Shepherds are active, playful, intelligent and beautiful. We keep 3 of ours in a large pen outdoors and exercise them daily. We have one indoors. Their long, beautiful fur does shed, but other than that they're not hard to groom.
Playtime and exercise can include a long walk, playing fetch, frisbee, or hide and seek. Aussies are so smart can can be quickly trained to do all sorts of things.
Left alone without enough attention or exercise you might find them herding your children or chickens, chasing cars, or getting into some kind of mischeif.

Australian Shepherds are a medium sized, working dog with moderate length hair. Their tails are docked and their coat colors include blue merle, red merle, black tri, black, and red (with our without white and tan markings).
